How to contact me. How to retain me. And why.
I am a commercial litigation and intellectual property partner at the law firm of Goetz Fitzpatrick LLP. Our firm has offices in New York and New Jersey (the states in which I am admitted to practice), but we represent clients from around the country and around the world. I am not the only trademark lawyer or copyright lawyer here; a number of my colleagues as well as our support staff have substantial and sophisticated experience in this area. The firm’s overall practice is focused on commercial law, particularly litigation, and providing legal services to the construction industry.
The quick take on my credentials: I was admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey in 1989 after graduating from Northwestern University School of Law. I received a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in economics (and certificate in political economy) from Princeton University. I am alumnus of several major law firms, and have broad experience in copyright and trademark law, commercial litigation — including trials, arbitrations and mediations — and general business and Internet-related law.
Go to Avvo.com for a very comprehensive and up to date description of my credentials and experience. Extensive client reviews can be found at my LinkedIn profile. You can also see a representative sample of my written work, and even some trial transcipts, at the JD Supra website, and see my peer-review rating at Martindale-Hubbell.
The Goetz Fitzpatrick website, of course, has extended descriptions of the legal services we offer in the following areas, and others:
|Litigation||Intellectual Property and Media||Business Law and Transactions|
|Labor and Employment||Construction Dispute Resolution||Trusts and Estates|
With the understanding that you are NOT a client of our firm unless and until we enter into a retainer agreement — and that for this reason you should not, among other things, transmit any confidential information or any communication you would only share with your lawyer — you may contact me if you would like to correspond regarding any aspect of our practice, including possibly representing you, using this form:
I’m looking forward to meeting you!
