These articles are already pre-written, right? You just put in the name of the multinational company as plaintiff and the name of the coffee shop as defendant. Something about coffee shops makes their owners zoom past cute into trademark infringement.
I certainly hope the plaintiff sent a cease and desist letter and gave them a chance to avoid the lawsuit first, though.
This, on the other hand, is interesting. It’s about where a few too many cease and desist letters can take you. LIKELIHOOD OF CONFUSION is a little too close to the facts to comment; but it’s newsworthy and topical all right, and I merely pass on the link for your consideration.
UPDATE: More coffee-related infringements. Obviously, it’s the coffee.
