The Emperor’s New Robes?

A northern New Jersey paper reports that Underneath Their Robes is “down” now; indeed, if you click here it is most assuredly at least locked down. Looks like the dishy Newark AUSA who was the voice of “Article Three Groupie” has got himself in a bit of hot water. UPDATE: Here’s a link. (Cross-posted on Above the Din.)

UPDATE: Here (sub required):

Now he has gotten more “credit” than he could have imagined. Almost immediately after the article came out, Mr. Lat took down the site in accord with a “mutual decision” between him and his superior, U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie, according to a spokesman for Mr. Christie’s office.

Even worse, Mr. Lat’s blog violated an office policy requiring assistant U.S. attorneys to seek approval before speaking in the media, said the office’s spokesperson, Michael Drewniak.

The policy does not specifically address blogs, but Mr. Drewniak said it is clear enough that Mr. Christie has not seen the need to spell out its applicability to online blogging.
