Mr. Thorne, legal marketing wordsmith extraordinaire, wonders: Why would a court opinion use the magic ® symbol to refer to one registered trademark and not others?

And why would an IP law firm feel obliged to the same (unless, perhaps, they represented the owner of that mark)?
