While often unintentional, hiring managers have an unconscious bias in hiring that is in effect. On average, recruiters only spend 7 seconds reviewing an individual resume. At that speed, bias is sure to impact their decision making. Simple pieces of information about a candidate can leave them in the cold. These identifiers include name, address, and photo. This lead to skewing the results, leaving companies thinking they have a full candidate pool, yet are leaving an incredible amount of opportunity on the table.
